3DPD

3-Dimensional Paste Delivery Tips

Overfill injuries during endodontic root canal therapy have been attributed to the use of inappropriate needle delivery of commonly used canal medicaments [1]. The use of inter appointment medications (i.e. calcium hydroxide) and hydraulic condensation obturation materials (bioceramic cements) present the potential of extruding highly alkaline and caustic chemicals beyond the apex. These overfill injuries expose the patient to both chemical and compressive morbidity as the expressed material occupy the vulnerable neurovascular anatomy [2].

3DPD tips have been scientifically designed to reduce the consequences of canal paste overfills. 3DPD Tips with their closed-end dual side port design eliminate the possibility of apical extrusion, while allowing for easy placement of viscous materials.

3DPD Tips Feature:

  • Maximized inner diameter for ease of placement and material flow
  • Minimized outer diameter to reach working length
    • Proprietary metallurgy for maximum flexibility for ease in negotiating canals
    • Closed-end, Dual side port design for lateral fill, minimizing event of overfill
    • Pre-bent high quality winged hubs, for easy syringe attachment & detachment
  • Special metallurgy cannula will not crimp like polymer paste delivery tips

“Low Dead Space” LDS hub minimizes waste of pastes and sealers. LDS hub reduces waste by 80% over other tips.

Dual port, closed end design eliminates pressure of materials downward from apex, providing a lateral 360º fill of canal.
